Children talk about times they have experienced different feelings. Through guided questions and conversation, they begin to connect emotions to real-life situations and express their ideas using language.
Materials
Emotion cards or simple feeling prompts
Optional: photos, books, or familiar objects
Instructions
Show a feeling (happy, sad, excited, frustrated).
Ask children “When do you feel this way?”
Encourage children to share a simple experience.
Ask follow-up questions like “What happened?” or “What did you do?”
Invite children to listen and respond to each other’s ideas.
