
Waves of Breathing
This ocean-themed SEL activity encourages children to explore mindfulness, body awareness, and calming strategies through movement, breathing exercises, and sensory experiences inspired by the rhythm of ocean waves.
Instructions
Invite children to pretend they are gentle ocean waves.
Slowly raise and lower scarves while taking deep breaths.
Practice breathing in as waves rise and out as waves fall.
Encourage children to notice how their bodies feel while breathing.
Repeat together using calm movements and slow breaths.
