Materials
A small collection of plant items (leaves, flowers, herbs, or items children collected)
Basket or tray
Instructions
Gather children in a small group and place plant items in the center.
Invite each child to choose one item to hold or explore.
Encourage children to share something about their item, such as what it looks like or how it feels.
Talk together about where the plants come from or how people use them.
Invite children to listen and respond to each other during the sharing time.
